Everyone on the WEF Board was thrilled to help welcome students, staff, and families back onto our school campuses in September. As we once again got used to morning traffic, packing lunches, and checking homework, we also restored a sense of community that had been missing for a long time. We’ve gotten to wave to teachers at drop off, see old friends, make new friends and be reminded of what makes our Wiseburn community so very special. We look forward to creating many more memories and bringing more events to you this year while supporting our mission to fund as many opportunities for our children as possible.

Wiseburn Teachers Grants Awarded

On October 4th the recipients of our 2021-22 Teacher Innovation Grants were notified of their awards. We are thrilled to announce the awarding of grants totaling $44,545.00, including $23,150.00 for our Wiseburn music teachers. We awarded grants at each of the Wiseburn schools, including several grade-level requests, as well as to 2 teachers at DV Communications.

A big thank you to our Innovation Grant Committee – Rebecca Hamburg, Debbie Felt, Marilyn Comitz, Riddhi Kasudia and Elizabeth Cantore who reviewed the grant proposals and attended several meetings to discuss them. It was a truly deliberative process, and we’re thrilled with the results.
